At the graduate level a variety of active research seminars take place weekly and students get the opportunity to mingle with top researchers right here at UC. Student research opportunities begin at the undergraduate level with the opportunity to work with a faculty member as part of their capstone experience and continue through to the MS and PhD levels, where extended research projects frequently lead to journal publication and both domestic and international trips to study at workshops or to present results at conferences. Our faculty includes internationally acclaimed experts in analysis, biomathematics, cryptography, financial mathematics, partial differential equations, probability, and statistics.
Our programs prepare students for a wide variety of careers in fields such as statistical analysis for banks, insurance companies, and medical research, financial analysis, and K12 or higher education.
